THE province of Capiz will have two more Negosyo Centers within this year to cater to the needs of growing start-up businesses under the category of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

David Sinay, information officer of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Western Visayas, said the DTI Capiz office targets to open additional centers in order to provide more access on business information and services to emerging and existing entrepreneurs in Capiz.

DTI Capiz targets to launch additional centers in the municipalities of Mambusao in the second district and Pontevedra in the first district.

The launching of additional centers is set in April, in time for the celebration of the 2016 Capiztahan festival.

DTI Capiz head Emerlinda Pollentes said they have invited DTI secretary Adrian Cristobal Jr. to grace the event.

The DTI launched on December 7, 2015 the Capiz Toll Packaging Center in Barangay Tiza, Roxas City.

The center, which is one of the nine shared service facility projects implemented by the agency, is the first one-stop toll processing center in Capiz intended for start-up businesses in the processed food sector.
