CAMP OLIVAS -- Unidentified armed men carjacked a sports utility vehicle (SUV) along the road in Barangay Calibutbut, Bacolor, Pampanga, early dawn Friday.

Pampanga Provincial Police Director Petronio Retirado said a silver Toyota Fortuner (RFW-989) driven by Roderick Pangilinan, 36, with two occupants were on their way to Xevera Subdivision at around 1 a.m. when its path was blocked by armed men on board a Toyota Innova without a plate number.

Retirado said three unidentified armed men disembarked from their vehicle and at gunpoint announced the heist.

The three suspects boarded the Toyota Fortuner and held the driver and his two occupants identified as Myra Gegante, 20, and Aiza Munoz, 18, both residents of Barangay Calibutbut hostage, he said.

Retirado said the three suspects then drove the Toyota Fortuner towards the south direction followed by their cohorts.

The victims were later dumped somewhere in Bulacan but the suspects also took the victims’ cellular phones before they fled to an unknown direction.

Retirado said the driver of the Toyota Fortuner reported the incident to the Bacolor Police Station. (Ric Sapnu)
