CESD provides free livelihood training

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Employment Service Division (CESD) here conducted a training for Fernandinas recently to help them in their livelihood.

The training is about beauty care which is also a program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda), which aims to give free learning sessions in order to know the basic steps and knowledge when it comes to beauty and wellness.

According to CESD manager Donny Sayre, the training is in partnership with Tesda to help women who are less fortunate acquire skills that they can use in getting jobs or venturing on their own business.

"We are always caring for the welfare of Fernandinos kaya lagi tayong nagsasagawa ng ganitong training. Usually this lasts for 15 days," Sayre said.

He added that the invited speakers are well trained and experienced to secure the quality of trainings they provide.

The CESD also provides free different trainings that are partnered with Tesda like the electrical installation and maintenance, shield metal arc welding, cookery, bread and pastry production, bartending basketweaving, and consumer electronics servicing.

These training-seminars are also offered to different barangays that are interested in developing their barangay livelihood programs. (Marionne I. Cayanan)
