LUBAO -- Children under the care of the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) were the recent beneficiaries of the Quota International Pampanga's program for underprivileged children with the group providing food stuff, food supplements, equipment and hygiene kits in Barangay Prado Siongco here over the weekend.

Quota International Pampanga president Joycel Robles-Panlilio said that the event included a tour of the facilities of the RSCC and a discussion with the facility operators on how their group could further help in the operation of the facility.

"We would like to get a better understanding of the facility and how we could better help. We are also very concerned of providing some quality time to the children under the facility," Robles-Panlilio said.

Quota International of Pampanga is active in programs for disadvantaged children, bringing donations for the Special Education Class of Pampanga High School (PHS), among others. Quotarians are known especially for their service to the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals and poor women and children.

Robles said that the RSCC is a new addition to the long list of institutions they are working with for children with special needs.

She added that the Quotarians were very impressed on how the facility takes care of the children under its care.

The RSCC is a 24-hour residential facility that provides social work interventions to children 0-6 years old.

It provides protection and rehabilitation services through temporary residential care to neglected, abandoned, abused and exploited children and those with special needs such as children at risk and children who are in need of alternative family care.

It also provides appropriate and responsive social work intervention and services that address growth and development and the safety and the security needs of very young children who are victims of abuse.

Further RSCC, works at developing competence and effectiveness of the center’s staff and service providers in the management of cased through proper placement and other rehabilitation services for children.
