Trina Louise Rivera, USJ-R intern

CEBU International School (CIS) failed to defend its crown in the Boys division International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC) 2017 football tournament after losing to British School Manila (BSM) last Saturday in Subic.

The Dragons lost to BSM, 3-1, in a rematch of last year’s championship.

CIS ended BSM’s five-year reign last year with a 9-8 penalty shootout win.

CIS breezed through the elimination round and ended up with 16 points from five wins and a draw. CIS logged the second seed just behind BSM on goal difference.

CIS advanced to the championships with a 4-0 crushing of Brent International School Manila in the semifinals.
