DAVAO City's young wrestlers who won silver and bronze medals in the Batang Pinoy qualifiers are now seeking help as only gold medalists will be included in the city's official delegation to the National games.

This was revealed by Jay Aseneta in Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association Forum held at Calle Cinco along J.P. Laurel Avenue.

Aseneta said that due to budget constraints, the city's sports office can only afford to send gold medalists as part of the official delegation.

Aseneta also clarified that the local government also wanted to include everyone, saying, "gusto ni sir Butch (Ramirez) and mayor na isahin lahat."

He also shared that the Davao chapter president of the Philippine Judo Association (PJA) has not given up hope of sending the other qualified children to the Batang Pinoy National Finals. "Paolo is looking for a way na maisama yung players sa Bacolod," Aseneta said.

The Batang Pinoy National Finals are set to be held from November 19-23 in Bacolod City.
