TWO people, including a member of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), were arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Saturday.

Chief Inspector Elmer Solon, Police Station 4 chief, identified the arrested suspects as Saldon Mangadag, 38, and Louis Dela Cruz, 36, a member of PCG-Manila.

Solon said the suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 9:30 p.m. Friday at a motel along Varrela Street in the village of Zone I.

He said confiscated from the suspects’ possession were seven sachets of suspected crystal meth (shabu), illegal drug paraphernalia, and P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills.

He said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them.
