EIGHT bombs were released by MG5 attack helicopters into a communists' camp in Sitio Malubahi, Barangay Pianing, Butuan City in Agusan del Norte province.
In a Bombo Radyo report, Inspector Jun Grana said the special forces group conducted a test mission in the area where they spotted more than 20 armed men believed to be New People's Army rebels.
The clash between the rebels and the government camp led by Inspector Roy Agustus lasted for about 30 minutes.
After the incident, the area was cordoned for clearing operations.
No casualty from the two camps was reported. (Sunnex)
