Corteza ready for Predator action

MANILA -- Two Filipino representatives Lee Vann Corteza and Jeffrey de Luna return to action when the Predator World Tour resume Saturday, at the Lloret de Mar in Girona, Spain.

"The Predator World Tour's postponement works well for Corteza and de Luna as they can still rest before they face the battle," Negros Billiards Stable (NBS) head coach Christopher Palses said in Filipino in a long distance interview Friday.

The official website www.predator10ball.com also posted the postponement due to the bad weather conditions.

Corteza, who hails from Davao City, is competing in Spain on the heels of winning the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP) 4th National Pool Championship in December.

De Luna, a 2006 Doha Asian Games silver medalist, is grouped together with Niels Feijen and Nick van den berg of the Netherlands.

Joining Corteza in Group B is the hometown crowd favorite David Alcaide of Spain, whom he defeated in the semi-finals, 9-7, of 2009 World Ten Ball Championships last November in Manila.
