Crew members of fishing boat missing on Sulu waters

A SEARCH operation is underway after crew members of a fishing boat were declared missing Tuesday off Celebes Sea, Sulu.

Four crew members are believed to be onboard the FB Ramona 2, a service-type vessel owned by Ramona Fishing Corporation.

Missing were Noel Besconde, the captain; Reyjim Rocabo, the Marine Diesel Mechanic; and crew members Roy Ramos and Roel Liones.

The last contact of the sister ship, FB Melissa 2, with FB Ramona 2 was at 3 a.m. Tuesday.

FB Melissa 2 proceeded to the location of her sister ship around 5 a.m. and found all crew members missing.

The radio and navigation system of the boat was stolen while other belongings are intact.

Military units were alerted to conduct patrols and verify the information. (Sunnex)
