THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental-North, through its Program Beneficiaries Development Division, oriented 13 agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (Arbos) in the province on availing the Agrarian Production Credit Program (APCP).

The activity attended by the respective chairpersons and managers of the five cooperatives and eight associations was held at the Northland Resort in Manapla town on Wednesday.

Milagros Flores, provincial agrarian reform officer I of DAR-Negros Occidental North, said the activity is aimed at clarifying the steps, processes, and the requirements in availing the credit assistance.

Flores said this will equip participating-ARB organizations, who are new applicants, in having their loan applications approval faster.

“If loan applications will be approved, this workshop will have facilitated access to agri-credit worth P19 million,” Flores said, adding that the recipient organizations comprise 467 farmer-beneficiaries with a total of 315-hectare awarded land through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
