THE Davao Region All-stars and Team CDO-Misor when the "Moving Piece for Peace"-themed 4th Mindanao Good Will Match unfolds today at 9 a.m. at the Damosa Market Basket in Lanang, Davao City.

National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) Davao region regional director James Infiesto bared this during Davao’s Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held at The Annex of SM City Davao.

Infiesto said this will be the fourth installment of the duel, recalling that the first two encounters were ruled by the Davao Region All-stars while the third one, which happened last year, ended with a draw.

While the Team CDO-Misor will be reinforced by woodpushers from the Philippine Army, the Davao Region All-stars will lean on Infiesto, National Master (NM)'s Alex Lupian, Macacuna Macala and Cedric Magno, Jayson Salubre, Henry Lopez, John Ray Batucan, Harrison Maamo, Jimmy Dano, Reynaldo Quiñonez, Rodrigo Catayas, Rhynan Arce, lawyer Jong Guevarra, engineer Allan Diez, Darwin Bermudez and Fred de Veyra who will fill the first 16 boards.

The Davao-side will also get a boost from its reserve players Giovani Gulanes, sports coordinator of Davao del Norte, NM Jonathan Tan and Glenn Paclar.

The one-day event will be a two-round match with a blind pairing format.
