DENR employees exceed titling targets

John Elmer Ubaldo

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Office 3 has commended its employees here for meeting titling targets.

The DENR honored 20 of its employees involved in land titling for their significant contribution in exceeding targets for the issuance of agricultural and residential free patents for 2015.

The DENR, in a statement, said the awardees received a plaque during a ceremony held in Clark, Pampanga, last March 11.

The agency sought to recognize 20 people consisting of Land Management Officers, Development Management Officers, Deputy Public Land Inspectors and Survey Party Chiefs for their contribution in the agency’s issuance of 3,559 residential free patents and 4,652 agricultural free patents – representing 102 percent and 103 percent of the agency’s 2015 regional target, respectively, the statement said.

In a message during the event, DENR-Central Luzon Director Francisco Mila Jr. emphasized that each member of the DENR Land Management Bureau should not only focus on the quantity of the free patents issued, but also ensure that the quality of their work remain impeccable.

“We do not just look at the quantity in counting a job well done,” Milla said. “We have to make sure that the job is polished and that we follow the laws and procedures so that the clients receiving these patents will remain smiling long after the patent has been awarded and reported as an accomplishment.”
