DE LA Salle-College of St. Benilde continued its blazing drive for the title in men's basketball of the 20th University Games as it blasted Visayan Maritime Academy Global College, 76-60 on Tuesday at STI WNU gym in Bacolod City.

University of St. La Salle likewise fortified its chance to the next stage with an 85-77 win over Holy Angel University (HAU) of Pampanga.

Jose Maria College of Davao also survived Fr. Saturnino Urios University, 57-53 to stay in contention.

Earlier Rizal Technological University (RTU) women's squad beat University of San Agustin, 81-30 while Enderun Colleges of Manila scalped Colegio La Purisima Concepcion (CPC), 68-26.

On Monday, UM-Davao topped CPC, 64-25 and Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, 75-48 in the distaff side and RTU crushed CPC, 60-32.

HAU men’s squad stunned Ateneo de Davao, 51-46 and USLS stripped CPC, 78-55. Holy Cross of Davao College upset Negros Oriental State University, 73-66.
