THE Department of Justice (DOJ) has directed its regional officers and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to coordinate in the investigation that is being conducted in the light of the bombing incident that rocked a Davao night market last Friday.

In a department order issued September 3, the DOJ directed Region 11 Prosecutor Janet Grace Fabrero, Davao City prosecutor Nestor Ledesma, and the NBI Southern Mindanao chief Atty. Arnold Morales to coordinate with each other.

"The duly authorized deputies or assistants are hereby directed to coordinate with each other and with the personnel of other law enforcement agencies with regard to the investigation in the September 2 explosion in Davao," the order signed by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II states.

The officers are also asked to submit their periodic report to DOJ Undersecretary Antonio Kho Jr. No deadline, however, was given. The mandate of the officers directed to coordinate was also not indicated in the order.

The DOJ said the order "shall take effect immediately and remain in force until further orders." (Sunnex)
