Employee arrested for gun possession

A BACOLOD City government employee was arrested by operatives of Police Station 6 for illegal possession of firearms at Corner Hernaez-Lopez Jaena Streets, Barangay 40 Wednesday morning.

Police identified the suspect as Rodrigo Delebel, 51, of NHA Village, Barangay Pahanocoy.

Chief Inspector Placido Gentoleo, Police Station 6 chief, said Delebel, an electrician assigned at the Libertad Public Market, was arrested after he accidentally fired his gun in front of his wife Erlita inside the market office.

Police recovered from Delebel’s possession a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver with three live ammunition and three shells of .357 revolver.
