Espino: CHR request for docs needs palace's approval

Sunnexdesk

THE Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 will need clearance from the Office of the President to release case files to the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) related to its anti-drug campaign.

However, PRO 7 Director Jose Espino clarified that their coordination with the CHR 7 will not be affected.

“There is already an existing directive that before any documents to be released as per request by the CHR, police offices must first seek clearance from the Office of the President,” Espino said.

Such an order was issued by Duterte during his second State Of the Nation Address. (JOB)
