Exquisite flavors at SM Lanang Premier

DAVAO'S finest chefs and culinary experts recently gathered in one festive event during the celebration of Flavors of the Philippines which is also in support of Madrid Fusion Manila (MFM) 2016 and Visit Davao Fun Sale held last April 3, 9 and 10 at the SM Lanang Premier.

Showcasing Davao's unique and bold flavors, “Davao on a Plate” featured various interpretations of the region’s treasured dishes by chefs from SM Lanang Premier’s restaurants Vikings and Bistro Selera, and hotel partner Park Inn by Radisson Davao, together with the Center for Asian Culinary Studies, Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, Marco Polo Davao, Chippens and The Crazy Cook.

Among the personalities who graced the launching of the event at the Atrium were Department of Tourism (DOT) assistant secretary Art Boncato, DOT-XI Regional Director Robert Alabado III, Consul Director Tomoko Dodo of the Consular Office of Japan in Davao, and Davao City Tourism Operations Office Head Lisette Marques.

Hundreds of food lovers came to witness "Davao on a Plate," which also featured live culinary demonstrations of chefs from Vikings-SM Lanang Premier, Marco Polo Davao, Park Inn by Radisson Davao and Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.

The event was co-sponsored by Davao Crocodile Park, Sun Made Brown Rice and Kitayama Beef.

Davao on a Plate is part of SM Supermalls’ “Fusion Flavors,” that is aimed to bring a taste of the grand gastronomic experience of MFM closer to its customers in 24 participating SM malls nationwide. (PR)
