Farmer shot dead in Camotes, Cebu

A 52-YEAR-OLD farmer was shot dead by two unidentified suspects around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, in Sitio Guincan-an, Barangay Cagcagan, Poro, Camotes, Cebu.

Police identified the victim as Nicanor Abarca Gaya, who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

Gaya was seen by other farmers plowing on his cornfield before the incident.

The masked culprits later arrived on board a motorcycle. They approached the victim from behind and shot him several times.

The suspects fled.
