Fire hits Margosatubig public market

SOME P710,000 worth of properties went up in smoke in an hour fire that hit the public market of Margosatubig town, Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Monday.

The police said the fire broke out around 1:23 a.m. Sunday at the Agora Public Market, Poblacion, Margosatubig.

The police said the fire started in one of the dry goods stalls and spread to two other stalls destroying P710,000 worth of properties.

The firemen declared the blaze fire out an hour after.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
