SULU Governor Abdusakur Tan announced that his province will soon have two fish landing ports.

Tan said the construction of two fish landing ports was committed to him by Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Arthur Yap. The constructions will start anytime soon.

Tan said one of the fish landing ports would be constructed in the coastal town of Maimbung. The other will be in the island town of Panglima Tahil.

He said Yap has informed him that close to P50 million have been set aside for the realization of the two projects.

Once completed, the fish landing ports would help boost the economic activity in the island province of Sulu that is rich in marine resources, the governor said.
