AN ALLEGED former inmate died while his common-law wife was wounded after they were shot by an unidentified assailant in Sitio Tuburan, Barangay Punta Prinsesa Friday morning.

Police Officer 3 Winston Magdadaro of the Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) identified the victims as Edgardo Flores, 42, and Mylene Abadili, 30.

"According to Flores' mother, he served jail time a few days back for illegal drugs. He was really the target of the gunman," Magdadaro said.

Abadili also sustained a gunshot wound on her leg.

Flores, who was a painter for cars succumbed to a gunshot wound on his head.

Authorities are still hunting down the gunman who was wearing black shirt and pants. (JOB/SunStar Cebu)
