Fourth Mayor’s Cup Swimfest set Jan. 27

A HUNDRED tankers from across Negros Occidental are expected to converge at the Laura Beach Resort in Cadiz City on January 27 for the staging of the 4th Mayor’s Cup Age Group Swimfest.

Hosted by the Cadiz Whales Swimming Club, the event is part of the City’s Annual Dinagsa Festival celebration.

Among the age-group categories to be competed are the seven to eight years old, nine to 10 years old, 11 to 12 years old, 13 to 14 years old, and 15 years old and over.

The event also aims to continue developing swimmers in the province as well as to promote healthy camaraderie by way of a friendly competition.

The event will be governed by Philippine Amateur Swimming Association and Fina (International Swimming Federation) for age group.

A non-refundable filling fee of P 2,000 will be charged for any protest.

Registration fee is pegged at P 550 per participant inclusion a souvenir item.
