Gang member in Davao found dead

A TRICYCLE driver, believed to be a notorious robber and gang member, was found dead at Santa Cruz in Barangay Bangkas Heights in Toril in Davao City on Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as Jon Ryan Elladora Galendo, 18, a payong-payong (tricycle) driver and member of a Watal Group (Walang Atrasan Tuloy Ang Laban), who hails from Agusan del Sur and is a transient resident of Toril in Davao City.

Initial investigation conducted by the Toril police station showed that the victim was found dead by a payong-payong driver who passed by at Purok 2 Santa Cruz at around 6 a.m., Saturday.

Galenda has been implicated in a series of robbery incidents and gang riots in Barangay Bangkas Heights and in the neighboring barangays. The body has multiple stabbed wounds.

The cadaver of the victim was brought to Villa Funeral Parlor for autopsy, while the Toril police still do not have any suspect. (ICT)
