Government turns over housing units to 40 members

Sunnexdesk

THE local office of Pag-Ibig Fund turned over last Wednesday 40 units of low-cost housing to its members in Zamboanga City.

Most of the recipients are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and government employees who are members of the Pag-Ibig Fund availing the low-cost housing loans, the office in the city said.

The lot area of each unit is 120 square meters and costs P750,000, which is payable from five to 15 years, depending on the capability of the loan applicant to pay.

The Pag-Ibig Fund has recently adopted the “rent to own” scheme that entitles the house and lot occupants to own the property upon maturity of the payment. (Bong Garcia)
