Holy Child mini defends Gaisano Grand Cup

THE Holy Child College of Davao Reds escaped past Precious International School of Davao, 85-80, to defend its title in the Gaisano Grand Cup mini division held at the Gaisano Grand SkyGym over the weekend.

Most valuable player Alexander Tila led the charge for the Roger Rabago-coached Reds.

“Full court press defense, hard work sa mga bata og team work nila ang nagpadaug namo. Labaw sa tanan si Lord na gidungog ang among gipagpray nga maayo ang shooting sa mga players (We made full court press defense and the boys really worked hard and worked as a team, making us win again. We also thank God for hearing our prayers to help our shooters),” Rabago said in a phone interview Monday, February 20.

Lawrence Salonga, John Kurt Lobo, Rhyan Gomez, Cyrus John Liston, Jaden Dagpin, Daniel Quijada, Jaafar Santos, Kenneth Hayashi, Joseph Carlo Obas, Ervin Celales and Brant Pepito also powered Holy Child.

Rabago was assisted by Tating Sorrosa.
