Intensify security, business firms urged

LOCAL authorities reminded anew different establishments in Davao Region to strictly enforce an intensive security measures to avoid similar incidents like what happened at Resorts World Manila that claimed over 30 lives.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao director Police Chief Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan issued a statement Saturday urging various business and commercial entities here to beef up their security and safety protocols like installation of security cameras or security guards.

He also appealed to the public to be alert in the midst of crisis happening in the country.

"Public safety and security is everybody's concern. Let us all remain vigilant and calm amidst these incidents," Gaerlan said.

The authorities remain in full alert status with the declaration of Martial Law and assured the public that they are on top of security challenges posed by criminals or terrorists through conducting active patrolling and stricter inspections.
