CLARK FREEPORT - The Kapampangan Development Foundation (KDF) distributed over the weekend 24 new artificial legs to indigents of the province as part of its ongoing Walking-Free Pampanga Program.

The new artificial legs were presented to the beneficiaries at the Clark Polytechnic attended by volunteers from various Rotary Clubs and Quota International Pampanga.

The KDF started its prosthesis program in 2007 as part of their "Walking Free Pampanga" advocacy that aims to make the province's amputees mobile again.

The project is in coordination with the Physicians for Peace (PFP), which takes charge of the prosthesis construction. KDF has also included diabetes awareness campaign in their long line of social projects.

KDF President Benigno Ricafort told Sun.Star Pampanga that the new beneficiaries were identified through the help of KDF partners like the Rotary Clubs and Quota International Pampanga.

"We have been continuously providing artificial legs and we invite local government units and non-government groups to partner with us on this mission to make amputees mobile again," Ricafort said.
