Magalang town conducts anti-rabies vaccination

MAGALANG -- The Local Government Unit of Magalang in coordination with the Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday conducted an anti-rabies vaccination drive in Barangay San Agustin.

Hundreds of pets, usually cats and dogs were injected with the vaccine that is good for six months to one year, according to the DA.

“The anti-rabies vaccine is good for six months to one year only. Hence, we have do it every summer,” said agriculture technologies and livestock inspector Royce Aguilar Lising.

He added that dogs and cats in 27 barangays in Magalang town need to be injected to prevent rabies cases from occurring. (Genesis Anne Lacsamana/PSAU Intern)
