Man dies, girl wounded in Zamboanga Sibugay road accident

ONE person died and another was wounded in a vehicular accident in Nazareth village, Kabasalan town in Zamboanga Sibugay around 4 p.m. Thursday, the police reported.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, Galvez identified the fatality as Rannel Limbaga, 27, a resident of Lituban village, Siocon town, Zamboanga del Norte.

The wounded victim was identified as Dina Marie Tumnog, 9, a resident of the village of Concepcion, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Investigation showed that Limbaga was riding a motorcycle driven by Joven Gandingan when it accidentally bumped a motorized tricycle driven by Antone Maningo.

Tumnog, who was hospitalized, is one of the six passengers of Maningo.

Investigation further showed that the two vehicles were traveling in the same direction at the time of the accident.
