A MAN was found dead inside his house the day after he went berserk at the house of his sister's live-in partner on Thursday night.

Initial investigation conducted by Bunawan police revealed that the victim, identified as 24-year-old Eleazar Cohitmangao Saguan, was having a drinking spree with his friends at around 7 p.m. on March 10.

Witnesses said after Saguan got drunk, he went to the house of Arnel Matilac and “angrily demanded the latter to come out and confront him while at the same time trying to destroy the windows and door of Matilac’s house.”

Matilac ignored the request of Saguan to engage in a confrontation.

Afterwards, Saguan left his house then went back to drink more alcohol until he passed out inside his residence in Purok 5, Mudiang in Davao City.

By 6 a.m. on Friday, his body was discovered with multiple hack wounds.

Police considered Matilac as their primary suspect as he also went missing on the same day the body of Saguan was found.

They also learned that Saguan and Matilac were previously involved in a misunderstanding on electrical connection.

Responding policeman Roldan Aquino discovered a scythe with bloodstain at the crime scene.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up operations to arrest the suspect.

The victim was brought Rivera Funeral Homes.
