Manhunt for missing Leyte inmate continues

ORMOC CITY, Leyte -- The search for an inmate of Leyte Regional Prison (LRP) who was found missing during a head count Sunday is ongoing, a report from the Police Regional Office-Eastern Visayas stated.

Inmate Jerecho Ebarle, 28, single, a resident of Duljo, Fatima, Cebu City, went missing during a routine head count conducted around 10:15 p.m. Sunday. He was not also around during the 5:30 p.m. head count.

Ebarle, who was convicted for robbery and attempted murder, was a detainee at the minimum security compound of LRP based in Cagbolo village, Abuyog, Leyte.

A fugitive recovery team composed of the provincial police and LRP personnel was formed to look for him. Manhunt is ongoing. (PNA)
