AFTER being named as the first Your Face Sounds Familiar grand winner, comedienne and actress Melai Cantiveros will transform into a new character in the upcoming episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya today, June 20.

In the MMK episode, Melai will give life to the role of Joanna, a woman who grew up being dependent on her parents and not knowing how to do household chores.

Because of this, Joanna had a hard time adjusting to her married life, especially when her husband Allan (Jason Francisco) lost his job and she was forced to leave their children to work as a nanny in Kuwait.

Discover the story behind Joanna’s smiles and witness how she fought homesickness and the longing for her daughters, just to give her family a better life.

MMK’s episode tonight will also feature Sharmaine Suarez, Mutya Orquia, Brenna Garcia, Sofia Millares, Althea Guanzon, Jet Alcantara, Ruby Rubi and Chiqui del Carmen. It is under the direction of Mae Cruz-Alviar and written by Joan Habana.
