More exposure for Negros Occidental at travel trade expo

NEGROS Occidental is one of the 20 participating-provinces in the country in the upcoming 27th Philippines Travel Mart (PTM) at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City on September 2 to 4.

PTM is the longest running travel trade exhibition that focuses on the promotions of domestic and inbound tourism.

The event is organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (Philtoa) in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT).

Philtoa is the largest association of registered tour operators, with allied members from various tourism sectors such as airlines, hotels, resorts, tourist transportation, and related enterprises.

Cristine Mansinares, supervising tourism operations officer of Negros Occidental, yesterday said that PTM offers highly discounted local tourism packages and promotional rates on accommodation, airfare and tourism-related services.

It also features business meetings, cultural events, and tourism quiz bee.

The Negros Occidental booth will feature the rich biodiversity of the province and will offer ecotourism packages.

“It is also an opportunity to present the tourism brand we launched last April which is ‘Negros Occidental: Land of Sweet Surprises,’” she added.
