NO COMPLAINT has been received so far from gun sellers and airsoft gun enthusiasts who are affected by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban, which started Sunday.
Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Incorporated (DCCCII) board chair Lawyer Bienvenido Cariaga said since the gun ban is a regular policy every election year, he expects legitimate gun vendors to already have alternative measures in case the ban will slow down their business for the next six months.
"Wala pang nagrereklamo but they are supposed to know, be prepared for that. Those who have businesses, dapat meron silang alternatives," Cariaga said at Kapihan sa SM media forum.
The gun ban, which is in preparation for the May 10 national and local election, includes prohibition of carrying airsoft guns, and other replicas.
The ban runs until June 9, 2010.
