MALACAÑANG said parents should not be worried over the K-12 Enhanced Basic Education Program or the 12-year basic education espoused by Education Secretary Armin Luistro in the country.

This, as Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said that the government will be the one to shoulder the expenses to the two additional years.

Earlier, parents opposed the said program because of the possibility that there would be additional expenses to the additional education years.

Lacierda said on October 5, Secretary Luistro will bare the overall program of what the parents should expect.

Lacierda added that the program has President Benigno Aquino's nod because it is one of his platforms during his election campaign. (Sunnex)
