MILO Little Olympics Mindanao area organizer Megdonio R. Llamera is inviting photojournalists who seek to capture the excitement of sports competitions on July 31 and August 1 in Cagayan de Oro City to join the competition that offers cash prizes and trophies.
Not only that.
Llamera said sports writers will also be vying for the recognition and incentive as writing contest will also take center stage in this year's edition of the Milo Little Olympics.
The criteria for both photo and writing contests will consider the impact of the journalistic outputs, human interest, quality and clarity of photographs and sports stories. Both must have been published within seven days of the sports competitions.
Llamera said photojournalists and sports writers may submit as many entries as possible.
There shall only be three winners in each category: P7,500 for first place; P5,000 for second place; and P3,000 for third place.
Entry forms and criteria for judging will be given to interested journalists.
