CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Three groups from the Philippine music scene will rock the University of the Assumption (UA) in celebration of its 55th foundation anniversary in January.

Callalily, which is known for its songs “Stars,” “Magbalik,” and “Pansamantala,” together with Gracenote and Never the Strangers, will be performing during the Students’ Night, which is one of the major highlights of UA’s foundation day.

According to RC Patdu, public information officer of the UA Central Student Council, the Students’ Night is a way to “de-stress” the students of UA from their academic activities.

“Yun yung way namin para mag de-stress yung students of UA from their acads kasi tutal foundation day naman,” he said.

He also said that massive preparations were done in order to invite artists every Students’ Night. He added that the said concert will be open to all, even non-UA students.

The event is one of the highlights of the university’s foundation anniversary, which kicked-off last December 7, with the “Paskuhan king Assumption” festivities.

Other activities include the chorale competition, Uni-A games Group Stunts and Super Moves competition, and the search for Mr. and Ms. UA Model of Excellence.

The UA Students’ Night, which is spearheaded by the UA Central Student Council, will be on January 12, 2017 at the UA Cinense Gymnasium.
