A POLICE investigator failed to report to duty for the past five days, after his wife doused him with hot water last Thursday, June 22.

He suffered burns in the stomach, thighs, and in his privates. He cannot wear underwear or shorts.

The incident happened a day after the wife caught the police investigator sleeping with another woman inside the police station of a southern Cebu town.

An intelligence officer, who requested anonymity, said the wife had doubted her husband of having an affair with another woman before she stormed the police station on Wednesday morning, June 21.

The investigator's wife and his lover are in their 40s. His wife tends to their two children, while his lover is a meat vendor.

He did not file a complaint against his wife, who also refused to charge him with concubinage.

The investigator is recuperating in his house, while his wife left him. (SunStar Cebu)
