Sunnexdesk

THOUGH government work and classes in public schools were cancelled yesterday, heavy traffic was experienced for at least three hours in major thoroughfares in Mandaue City.

Glenn Antigua of the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (Team), said 70 cases of soft drinks fell from a 10-wheeler truck on D. M. Cortes St. at 9:30 a.m. after the rope supporting the cases snapped.

Just when the Team was able to clear the area, a pick-up truck hits four persons after the vehicle veered toward a sidewalk on A.S. Fortuna St.

The injured persons were brought to the hospital. (FMG)
