MANILA -- Repertory Philippines is set to do Mark Saltzman's stage musical comedy “Romeo and Bernadette” tonight with PJ Valerio and Cris Villonco on the lead roles, respectively.

PJ will play the part of Romeo, a passionate and courteous man, who just awaken from centuries of sleep and catches the sight of her lady love, who wasn't Juliet at all.

It was actually Bernadette, played by Cris, a beautiful yet vulgar daughter of a local mobster Sal Penza played by Dido de la Paz.

The two is set to share the stage with Red Concepcion, Liesl Batucan, Juno Henares, Kenneth Keng, Jim Paoleli, Jamie Wilson and Rem Zamora.

The musical comedy will be directed by seasoned actress and who recently staged "Duets" Joy Virata and will be assisted by Rem Zamora.

“Romeo and Bernadette” opens this February 5, and will run for the rest of the month on Fridays and weekends at Onstage in Greenbelt 1, Makati City. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
