Samar's most wanted killed in Tarlac

AUTHORITIES killed on Monday Samar province's most wanted person in a police operation in Tarlac City, according to a report submitted to the Philippine National Police Operation Center in Manila.

Genesis Oquendo, who had a P50,000 bounty on his head, had a standing arrest warrant for two counts of murder and frustrated murder issued by the Calbayog City Regional Trial Court.

The police operation also led to the arrest of his two suspected cohorts, identified as Henry Palmones and Victor Vasquez, both residents of Albay.

Oquendo was the alleged leader of the notorious Oquendo gang in Samar, according to a report .

Oquendo allegedly tried to engage arresting policemen in a gun fight during an operation at 2nd Street, Fairlane Subdivision, Barangay San Vicente, Tarlac City, where he was allegedly hiding.
