POLICE are conducting a thorough investigation to determine if indeed a sanitary inspector, who was found dead, has committed suicide on Friday the 13th.
Chief Inspector Felixberto Martinez, Police Station 7 commander, said the incident took place last Friday in the village of Cabatangan, Zamboanga City.
Martinez identified the victim as Reynaldo Lim, 57, who was found dead inside his bedroom with a single gunshot wound in the head.
Martinez said investigators and the Scene of the Crime Operatives have recovered a suicide note at the victim's bedroom and a caliber .38 revolver.
He said the victim has expressed his sentiments over his co-employees at the City Health Office and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
The victim reportedly applied for a loan with GSIS eight months ago, but the agency has not yet acted on the application, Martinez said. (Bong Garcia)
