SANTA RITA -- It will be a virtual trip down memory lane as the Museo Ning Santa Rita de Cascia will be hosting an exhibit of old photos of the town and its old parish's history.

The exhibit has been organized through the help of locals who have donated and loan old photos from old family albums. Museum curator Romy Dizon said that the organizers have tried their best in gathering old and even contemporary photographs to show how the town and its parish has grown through the years.

"This is part of our regular schedule of exhibits for May. We hope to extend to the collection of the museum in terms of old photographs," Dizon said, explaining that old photographs provide information on the way of life of locals in different points of the town's history.

Old photos showcases the different facets in the life of the community. The photos will be on exhibit this May just before the town's fiesta celebration on May 22.

The Museo ning Parokya nang Santa Rita de Cascia is located at the second floor of the old convent building attached to the old parish church. The building, which was restored in 1994, now houses the historical artifacts, contemporary and antique images, as well as old furnishings of the church and its old rectory.

The facility also offers a tour of the church, which houses the first-class relic of Saint Rita. Tourists may also visit the recently restored bell tower of the parish, which is accessible through the museum.
