ASEAN. Around 41,000 security forces from different regions are ready to secure the 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit that will be held from April 26 to 29 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

BOHOL CLASH. An Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) leader and three other bandits were killed on Saturday, April 22, in a gunfight with government troops in Clarin town, Bohol, a police official said.

MOTORCYCLE TAXI. The proposed ordinance granting the Cebu City Government the authority to issue local regulatory franchise to operators of motorcycles-for-hire (habal-habal) was reintroduced in the City Council.
