Suba Bridge opens to light vehicles

Sunnexdesk

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has opened the Suba Bridge in Liloan, Cebu to light vehicles to decongest traffic on the Cebu North Road.

“I think the vehicular traffic on the Cebu North Road will be decongested by about 30 to 40 percent with the reopening of Suba Bridge, which was closed for months,” said Engr. Yusoph Rasuman, chief of DPWH’s Fifth District Engineering Office.

Only light vehicles are allowed to pass by the bridge because DPWH are still working on its railings. It is expected to be finshed within this month.

According to Rasuman, the new bridge is supposed to be completed in December this year yet but they have finished the project ahead of time. (EOB)
