A 21-year-old suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout with the police in Sitio Upper Centro, Barangay Langtad, Naga City last Wednesday night.

Police identified the fatality as Nohlan Villarin, a high-value target. He was rushed to Minglanilla District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Villarin’s mother Cirila, 57, and Ricardo Segismar, 21, were arrested. Seized from them were drug paraphernalia and a pack believed to be shabu.

A .38 revolver and bullets were recovered from Villarin’s possession.

The shootout happened after Villarin noticed he was dealing with the police.

He allegedly pulled out his gun and fired at the police, but misfired. One of the operatives fired back and hit him in the body. (KAL)
