Tactical group welcomes new commander

A NEW commander has taken over the helm at the Tactical Operations Group - Northern Mindanao headquarters in Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City.

Colonel Allen Paredes of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) relinquished the command and turned it over to Lt. Col. Connor Anthony Canlas Sr. in a simple ceremony held Tuesday.

Major General Lino H.E. Lapinid, commander of 3rd Air Division, presided the event.

Canlas was a former director of the Office of Special Studies (OSS).

In his speech, Lapinid congratulated Paredes, for leading the personnel of the tactical operations group for more than a year.

He also challenged the new commander to do his best to accomplish the group’s mission as well as PAF’s.

Canlas committed to implement and achieve the PAF’s integrity, service, teamwork, excellence and professionalism (Instep) principle.

Paredes is now assigned at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City. (Annabelle L. Ricalde)
