Team Lahutay to join Eco Run

THE 13-member Team Lahutay of the University of San Carlos will be competing today for the first Shell Eco-Marathon (SEM) Philippines 2017 at the Clark International Speedway in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

The SEM Asia 2016 third-prize winner will be competing with other universities and colleges from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao for the two-day SEMPh competition.

Kerstein Kylle Despi, Team Lahutay manager, is confident that they will win the first prize for the Philippine leg with a record of about 150 km/l in mileage.

Team Lahutay recorded a mileage of 106 km/l victory in the SEM Asia in March 2016. Japan and China bagged the first and second places. Mildred V. Galarpe
