POLICE arrested a theft suspect caught by the security guard of Garden by the Bay resort at Maryknoll, Barrio Pampanga, Davao City.

The suspect was identified as Art Manuel Wilman Jarolan, 18-year-old pool attendant of the said resort, single and a resident of Gotamco, barangay Leon Garcia, Davao City.

Based on the initial investigation conducted by Senior Police Officer 3 Rico Dagmon of Sasa Police Station, the resort's security guard on duty, identified as Richard Enriquez Cabuena, was conducting a roving inspection when he saw the suspect in plain view busy peeling an electrical wire.

Upon further inspection of the bag of the suspect, the security guard saw some other unpeeled wires and three pieces of bulb sockets inside, prompting him to hold the suspect and call for police assistance.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect and thee pieces of evidence confiscated from him were brought to the police station for proper disposition of the case. (KGL)
